To make Daniel Tiger masks out of my illustrations, you are going to use the rectangular selector and make a box around his face.
Copy and paste it into a word processor document and then resize it so that it fills up most of the page.
Print that out and have your kids color it in and cut them out.
They’re going to poke holes where the eyes are (so they can see!) and on either side of the mask.
Then, they’ll tie off pieces of string in each side hole, making the strings long enough so that they can meet and tie behind their heads.
You’ll need brown paper lunch bags for this craft.
You’ll print out the Daniel Tiger face you want to use and have your kids color it in and cut it out.
Then, they’ll paste the faces to the bottoms of the brown paper lunch bags (inverted for these purposes, naturally).
They can also color in or cut out a red hoodie for the puppet, just like Daniel Tiger has!
One of the great things about my illustrations is how detailed they are – each picture tells a story.
Get your kids to practice their writing by coming up with a few sentences for three or four of my illustrations.
They can write them directly onto the pages, color them in, and then bind them together to create a mini-storybook.
My Daniel Tiger pictures would make adorable greeting cards, especially for birthdays or the summer season.
You can copy and paste the entire illustration onto a word processor doc that has been oriented to landscape and move it to the right side.
That way, when you print it, you can just fold the page in half, and you have a card!
To make stand-up Daniel Tiger figures out of my many characters, you’ll pick the figures you want to use, print them out, color them in, and cut them out.
Then, you’ll take toilet paper rolls and glue them to the backs of the cut-outs; this should enable the cut-outs to stand up.
You can also print the illustrations out onto cardstock for sturdier cut-outs.
There are so many Daniel Tiger characters; your kids will have such fun turning them all into paper dolls that they can play with again and again.
You’ll just print the figures out onto cardstock and have your kids color them in and cut them out.
That’s really it! The cardstock ensures that the paper dolls are more durable.
You can also glue extra-large crafting sticks to the backs to make more puppet-like dolls – they’re better for smaller hands to get a grip on.
Daniel Tiger is a popular character for birthday parties, and you don’t have to go spending all your budget on decorations.
You can use my illustrations in a number of ways, including as place settings, table centerpieces, or cake or cupcake toppers.
You can use them to decorate gift baggies for your guests or even put the pictures on the invitations.
Since Daniel Tiger and his friends and family are waving in many of my illustrations, you can make their arms movable!
To do this, you will need to print out two of each picture you want to use; you’re only going to use the arms on the second page, so color those in and cut them out.
Your kids can color in the main page, and then you’ll put the cut-out arms over the page arms and secure them in place with a fastener.
This allows the arms movement back and forth, so you can really make them wave!
For this craft, you’ll need a few different shades of orange tissue paper, or perhaps even brown if you can find it.
You’ll copy and paste Daniel Tiger’s face onto a word processor document and then resize the image so that it takes up the entire page.
Print those out and then cut up the tissue paper into smaller squares or rectangles.
Your kids are going to glue down the tissue paper around Daniel Tiger’s face, creating a mane, so to speak.
If you could find brown or a darker shade of orange tissue paper, you can also make the stripes on his face.
Bring my Daniel Tiger illustrations to life by turning the figures and settings into dioramas.
You’ll need a cardboard box, which you’ll set with the open side facing outward; you can also cut off the top for convenience.
You’ll likely want to resize the illustrations so that they’re smaller; do so, and then print out the figures you want to use.
Have your kids color them in and cut them out, leaving about an inch of paper under their feet. They’ll fold under and be used to glue the figures into place.
The kids can get creative with the background, creating their own or even papering the “walls” of the diorama with my illustrations as background.
They can use construction paper to make furniture, trees, etc., and put down green construction paper on the “floor” of the diorama for grass.
