Participation Information & Checklist for the CARE Summer Bridge Program

Congratulations on your acceptance to Florida State University and the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (CARE). As a CARE student, you will attend Florida State starting in the summer of 2022 through the Summer Bridge Program, a seven-week program. During this time you will live in on-campus housing with CARE staff and ambassadors, and engage in a variety of activities designed to support your success as an FSU Seminole! We look forward to offering you an excellent learning environment and a memorable beginning to your college experience.

After the summer term, you will remain in CARE and Florida State, participating in a variety of activities and programs designed to promote your academic engagement and progress through to graduation from the University.

You will receive several communications over the next few months leading up to the start of Summer Bridge which will address academic advising, move-in processes, financial aid, and additional resources. With Summer Bridge, you must complete the entire seven week program, June 12 to July 30 with move-in of your choice on June 10 or 11.

Failure to complete the items below by the due dates will result in your offer to participate in the 2022 CARE Summer Bridge Program being rescinded and your admissions to be canceled!

Checklist for CARE Admissions

1. Complete the Participation Agreement (Due by May 1, 2022).

2: Activate your FSUID (must be done to complete all other items)

3: Complete the CARE First Generation Verification Form (Due March 14, 2022)

4: Complete Registration for FS4U Foundation Scholarship System (CARE Deadline: April 5, 2022)

Checklist for Financial Aid

1. Complete 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 Free Application For Financial Aid (FAFSA) (Due March 1, 2022).

2. Provide any Financial Aid related documentation requested (Due April 6, 2022).
